Oh my god. Oh my bloody fucking god.
What a trip! Two weeks of absolute stupidity. The last week ended up with 15 people staying in a 9 person apartment, it was a bit cramped to say the least!
The Barcelona March 2007 crew consisted of: Myself, Jon Trench, Gav, Pete, Euroscotch, Ross the Boss, Jon Vile, Alex, Tomgnargore, Brewer, Wig, Rob the Mod, John Fisher, Phil Shore Jason Caines and Tom Hinton. Look: (Minus Gav, who was somewhere else that day it seems)
Each day pretty much went along like this: Wake up around midday. Fart arse around the apartment/sit on the balcony drinking a litre of apple juice until 2. Meet up at Paralel for a quick hack/warm up. Go skateboarding some of the spots around the city until about 8. Back to the apartment for 40s on San Miguel. Go to Bar Manolo around 12 for a few, then either roam La Rambla pointlessly or end up in Jamboree/City Hall/some other Barca club. Go to bed about 5/6/7 am and repeat. Brillian fun!
Despite a bit of slacking about early on, we got a fair bit of footage for the video, so hopefully we should all be ready for this premiere! Again, should be an ace night so please come down.
I can't be arsed putting this into days, as the whole trip blurred into one (and my camera broke near the end too!), so I'll just pop some photos up in the order they happened. Sort of.
The drive to the airport. "Let's play 123 BOMB!".
Gav multitasking. PSP and DVD Player?
Airport + Lots of people + Ipod speakers + shit music + pirate attire = I want to curl up and dissapear.
Why is it always nice weather at home when you go away somewhere?
A few pre-flight pints, had to be done!
And here we are!

Bossman getting serious.
Look, I'm at Sants don't you know!
Forward Motion fliming artfaggery.
Gavin the ghost!
THIS was why we hardly skated the first few days....
Luckily we brought a DVD player and about ten skate videos. Too bad they all got truly rinsed in the first two days!
My room. Thought I'd bring a few home comforts to decorate the place.
Jon Vile gets his hands dirty on a big matchbox.
Obligatory metro group photo of course.
Canyelles. This place was mega fun! Jon whip dee woo's round the corner.
...and Gav. This thing is whippy as hell!
"It's all about downing cough medicine!"
Putting the G in Gav.
Boss and Euro dans le apartment.
We got all the dance moves out this night in Jamboree (Jazz club!!!) Here's us warming up.
Routine one: The robot
Routine two: Syncro star jumps
Routine three: The Monkey. Needless to say we owned the dance floor (and by that I mean we made everyone piss off!)
The Port. Shitloads of spots around here. Lovely day, friends, skateboarding. Brilliant.
ABD. But who cares?
Someone forgot to leave the star jumps at Jamboree....
Flickkkk! Jon Vile is beast.
"Do it, you'll be fine Gav!"
Ross nosesliding to spinnerooney out.
Photo of the trip perhaps? The 'entertainers' on La Rambla are amazing!
Paoched off Tom. Sod the manny pads, this is how you skate Paralel!
I'm a fill-murrrr, blud.
Switchflippingout.
???
Alex uses his Jedi mind tricks to make this girl lift her top up. Bravo.
Spanish people walk at approx 1/4 of the speed of anyone else I swear. They all seem to have rats on leads too... (or at least rat sized dogs)
Tree-flipping. It's all about shapes.
Where's Wallie (or bs flip)?
This spot was epic.
Somewhere along the way we got hold of a guitar. Took it to a spot in the park and busted out some tunes! The locals were loving it.
Guitarskating.
Someone poaching some sneaky Accents footage eh? (Note, Jon's still playing the guitar!)
"Av it Bossman!"
Long lensing.
Someone probably landed a trick while I was busy gawping at the camera here. Sorry.
Euro goes for it!
Best. Spot. Ever. I could skate here all my life and be completely happy. More Accents poaching.
And again. Bs Nosegrinder.
Hiya!

We made the obligatory visit to the MACBA 4. Contemplating....
More contemplating. "You gotta get your 'I've ollied the MABCA 4' t-shirt!".
Jon gets ready for the hammerzzzzzzzz.
"Fuck it"
Ross gets his t-shirt.
It rained, so we sacked it off for the indoor mini ramp round the corner.
Some skateboards.
and again.
This was literally opposite our apartment. Bar Manolo, where one can go pro-spotting and watch videos in the back.
Gav: "I'M PRO"
Devine Calloway: "Alright mate"
hahaha.
The second half of the crew turned up at this point, good to see you lads!

Drunk? Rob?
N00bury represent!
OG Gnargore heads.
Phil Shore a la MACBA.
Brewer appears to be smiling here!
The icon of serious skaeboarding right there.
This bowl was made so that Wig could come and skate it I think. Frontside layback.
and a silly FS air on the bastard! How on earth?
It rained so Gav hid in the smallest box in the world.
Phil smokes in my room. El bastardo.
The sea walls. Shitting hell these things are massive.
Bs disaster. How does one get up there for that???
Sex, drugs, and a shitty looking rock and roll.
You have to run full pelt at the walls to get to the top, so I was a bit knackered to say the least after about 20 goes at it!

Precarious filming Fisher.

Fisher and Rob
Jason loving his 40s. "Just suck it!"
As was Gav! "Lager".
and Phil
And me "You have to help me, my firend is really REALLY boring!!!"
Hahaha.
After a few... Eurobeard.
Back at Besos.. I think we were a little hungover this day (as opposed to any other day...!)
See Brewski, you were loving it there!
Fisher lips a rail while I take a shit blurry photo.
Another epic spot. Ross Bs flip over the wall and down.
Monseuir Shore and his backtails on the unskateable ledges.
...and again.
This was the last picture before my camera lens got smashed. It's supposed to be a side rock on this thing, but I clearly missed it this time...

... and that's yer lot! There were a few photoless days after this, but I think everyone was a bit on the tired side.
Found this on my camera though. This was pretty much the scene every night in our apartment. I think the neigbours didn't like us too much!
All in all, it was an fully amazing trip. Looking back maybe we didn't skate as much as we could have, but we certainly made the most of the cheap booze and that we were in an amazing city with brilliant nightlife!
You'll see all the footage of what we did skate though soon enough.
Thanks again to all of you that came, you made it a memorable trip.
Inabit! x
